We forget that she spent just as much time, love, and care in her own household, raising that special person that we love with all our hearts.
I know that there are many who either dislike or do not get along with their “Momster-in-law”, however that is not the case for me. I am fortunate enough to have the greatest relationship with mine. Sometimes we have disagreed, and there have been times when we have silently been upset with each other. But there has never been a time that my respect and love for her has not grown.
So here is a little tribute to the woman that gave me my husband.
The day I wed your son, I received another mom. You have given me an amazing man, with whom to share my life. I cannot thank you enough, I’m so blessed to be his wife.
You mean the world to me, as you always give so unselfishly. You are such a special friend, on whom I can depend.
My love for you grows every day, for your kind and gentle way. For your words of love and wisdom, that only mothers say!
How blessed am I to have two mothers. That love me like you do. Two moms to love my children as only grannies do.
In my heart of hearts I thank you, for all that you have done. For you raised your little boy, who then became my man.
I hope to be the kind of mom, wife, and daughter, who makes you proud to say: “she’s my daughter (in-law)”
To BOTH my mother and mother-in-law, happy Mother’s Day and thank you !!
One Messy Mama
